By artist Francis Davis Millet (1848–1912), in a Private Collection
Sale price: $379.00
Mary Katherine “Kate” Keemie Field was a writer and journalist who was born in St. Louis and was a friend of artist Millet’s family. She is depicted seated against cushions, turning to the left, as she wears a stylish black dress and holds a few small flowers. An accomplished painter and sculptor, Millet was a member of the National Academy of Design, and decorations director for the World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago in 1893. He died in the sinking of the RMS Titanic on April 15, 1912. Our authentic stretched canvas replica captures the original painting’s texture, depth of color, and even its brushstrokes, which are applied by hand. It is surrounded by our imported, antique gold-toned, delicately sculpted 4″-wide designer resin frame with a leaf motif.

Proudly printed and framed in the USA using imported molding.
